- postcard on ebay dated 1912 states "The wooden 'Fire Engine Station' is centre left", but 1906 OS map shows fire station is off the left hand edge of the view. Either this was an earlier fire station and the date is wrong (or postcard was unused for many years!), or the wooden one came after the brick built one (which seems unlikely), or the information is incorrect
Information received that this station was on same site as Attleborough old 1 was built on, which makes the description on the above postcard link incorrect. Location amended to here. |
